It happened. The first snow of the year. In NOVEMBER?!?!
This may not be that surprising to all of you living in more inclement climates, but we rarely get snow. I mean, it gets seriously cold, like, frosty frosty fingers cold, but never very much snow. And NEVER in November! Maybe for like, a week, in Jan or Feb... Apparently the schools have been closed for 2 days this month already, up north that is. Crazy huh?
I love the snow. I've always wanted to live somewhere (in America) where there is snow on the ground all winter. Alas, that will probably never happen, so I revel in my little patches as and when I can.
In other news, I braved the slippery pavements to pop to the post office this morning. Sarah, your parcel is winging its way to you as we speak!
Have I mentioned about this before? Not sure... I "met" a lovely lady called Sarah through the blogosphere, and we decided, since both of us had a passion for each others countries, to do a little swap. Just me and her, no organizer or anything, and its been seriously fun!! I won't spoil her surprise and tell you what is in this box, but let me just say, its ram-a-jam full of goodies.
So, on this cold wintery day, my plan is to pop a casserole in the oven and sit and knit all day. Bliss. ♥♥♥

It's beautiful! No snow at all here in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, so I'll just have to enjoy yours for now. And how fun to do a mini-swap! That's an excellent idea. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteWhere I'm from, Rochester, NY we would get snow sometimes as early as Halloween. I've saw many a blizzard up there. One year we got almost 6 feet over night. Unfortunately, it was my daughter's 9th birthday. She wouldn't understand why we had to cancel her party. LOL
ReplyDeleteHow fun to do a private swap. That way you get to set the dates yourselves.
I love the snow pictures. Here in Southern Ohio we get some snow every winter. We had a dusting just a few days ago. I'm hoping for a white Christmas this year.
ReplyDeleteI also love the stripy paper on your parcel. Very nice.
What a great idea for you and Sarah to swap! Loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteAwesome post. Really enjoyed reading your blog posts.
