Both my goody parcels are finished! Although after writing that title I might actually go and get some gumdrop's to send along too lol ;-)
I've had such a blast making these for my 2 partners in the goody swap, although I am constantly intimidated by some of the things that they come up with... I'm having a slight wobble over the pincushions (never made one before, probably won't again!), but I'm hoping the paper-piecing on the mug-rugs can carry them through...
Partner 1 likes pink and red and aqua:
Improv style rectangular pincushion, loosely based on this tutorial. With 2 large felt patches for needles, and the rest for pinnies :-)
Partner 2 likes green, yellow, orange and blue:
A modified disappearing 9 patch, with teeny felt strips for needles. I'm not so proud of this pinnie... the little (1/2 inch finished) felt strips didn't work out exactly as planned, and were a nightmare to sew. So I made this to compensate:
A cute little "out of my head" designed needlebook, which I actually love. And if co-ordination is key... (is it? I'm not sure...) then check out the kaboodle together:
Actually, looking at that picture I feel a little sad for partner 1. I'll be making her a needlebook tonight I think.
Anyway, I hope they don't guess and are nicely surprised :-)
I have literally ZERO idea who's got me. There's so many gorgeous things popping up in the flickr pool, but I can't even remember what colours I said!! I know I wanted to say rainbow. Because that's just me through and through. But did I? Who knows! So excited to see what turns up on my doorstep though!!!
