Small graces

I've been tied up recently, and will continue to be for a while, with big long term quilty projects. Thankfully, I've finished Paula's quilt now (pics later!), but I've taken on a commission, and have my Brit Bee quilt to finish this quarter too. So I'm busy.

All these long projects were not satisfying the A.D.D quilter in me, so when my hip old granny asked me to whip up a case for her new android tablet last night, I was more than happy to oblige!

I didn't follow a pattern as such, just added about an inch to the tablet dimensions, and sewed a simple pouch. The blue flower fabric is Heather Ross, not sure of the origins of the yellow, but it was in my sash and uber cute. I lined it with some Anna Maria Horner flannel so its really floofy and soft :-)

I also got a little bit creative with the ol' perle cotton, but that was more for my benefit than granny's!

Hoping you've all had a lovely weekend! Mine has been filled with small graces such as partner allocations in the Mouthy Stitches swap, roast dinner out with family, an unexpected visit with a 6 week old puppy, and of course the obligatory kitty cuddles :-)

  7. It's really cute, LJ. The hand stitching totally finishes it off perfectly.
Wish I got a kitten cuddle today - he's too cool to hang out with me today. That is until he gets scared of a bump in the night :)
