I've never been in a PIF before (That's "Pay It Forward" for those not already in the know), but I managed to sneak in to Alison's a few weeks back. Roll forward to today, and look what the postie brought for me?!
Alison made me the most beautiful Jane market tote! Its Melody Miller on the front, Jessica Jones on the side, and a gorgeous large dot print on the inside. All in my most favouritest palette of greens!
She also sent this fantastic coffee table book, which poses all kinds of "if" questions about life, the universe and everything in it. Great for chatting over a glass of wine. Maybe I'll bring it along next time I go out on a date, you know, just in case the conversation grounds to a halt... ;-)
The good thing about PIF, is that you don't just have to sit there and quietly smolder over my lovely surprise gift! I now have to pay the kindness forward to 3 of you lovely readers.
The first 3 comments on this post will receive a handmade gift from me, and in exchange for that, they have to promise to pay it forward to 3 of their readers in turn.
I think you get a year to do it, so I might not be quite so hot off the mark as Allison was, but if a wee handmade gifty from me sounds like fun at an undecided time this year, then sign right up :-)

Well had I not already been in a PIF and received my gorgeous make from Toni (and I still have my 3 to make)I would have loved a handmade goodie from you ;-) so alas I shall let others be the lucky recipient.
ReplyDeleteAlison`s tote is gorgeous and I think you should take the bag and the book on the date. You can always put the bag over his head if the book doesn`t get the conversation going!
Oh Laura please pick me (waving hands :)). The obvious problem is that I have no blog. I have been thinking of commencing one for a while but need encouragement ( big push). Could this be it? Di xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bag, fun post for a dull monday indeed :-) and LOLs about taking the book on a date.
ReplyDeleteNervous about joining in a PIF, my skills are basic, but I figure with up to a year I'll be better by then (fingers crossed) and I am given a huge shove by the thought of having something made by you :-)
Sign me up please x
Hello - I would love to join in and would be absolutely delighted to have something made by you and to PIF!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bag! Looks like an entertaining book, too. Don't sign me up for your PIF, but have fun! I had a great time making the ones for mine!
ReplyDeleteOoohh! Loveliness! I am thinking about PIF gifts that I need to make in the next few months, but they're not as fantastic as this. Have to up my game :)
ReplyDeleteI love PIF and you have received a lovely gift. I know you will make something just as lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour photography skills are marvellous...looks quite good ;-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it!
Oooh great PIF item. I still have my three to make. I keep changing my mind about what to make!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bag sweetie, cant imagine a date with you being a quiet one somehow ;-)
ReplyDeleteOoh, lucky duck, that's fab :o)
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous bag!! One day (when I'm better at sewing) I'll join this PIF but I suspect everyone will have done it by then!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous bag!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bag! You're a real 'bag lady' now! Jxo
ReplyDeleteShoot, to slow to pif with Laura, shucks :(
ReplyDeleteCutest bag btw!
Loving this pay it forward idea - got to try and get into one of those - wonderful bag xx
ReplyDeleteAw, dang!! I didn't make it into the first 3 commenters. The bag you received is wonderful!! I love Melody Miller and the other fabrics are fab, too. Enjoy using it! The coffee table book looks like fun with a group of people (or even just one other person). We have a set of dinnertime conversation cards for the family-- there's questions that you have to answer and its fun (and amusing with the little ones) to hear what everyone answers. Enjoy all your new goodies!
ReplyDeleteYay for PIF love!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bag! I am already signed up for Annabella's PiF, but if you have anyone who misses out on getting signed up with you send them my way! I still need one more lovely person to make a gift for. :)
