Sorry. Couldn't resist. Lord knows what search referrals I'll end up with now.
Last night I needed a quick project, before I start my Hopscotch quilt. I also needed to make 3 Pay-It-Forward gifts before the year is out and the time does tend to sneak up on me these days. Best get it out the way before I forget, I thought.
Enter Kim's brilliant tutorial and Ta-dah!
Aren't they cute?
The tutorial was easy as pie to follow, and I whipped these 3 up in about an hour and a half. Perfect to satisfy the fickle quilter within. I did have some serious issues with my machine though... I can see why people sew these by hand.
When you are stitching down the curves, you are sewing through 10+ layers of fabric. Normally my machine is a trooper, but she was bitching and moaning something rotten last night... skipping stitches all over the place! The green one didn't go so well at all actually... I think I'll re-do it, or stitch it by hand.
So, people that entered my PIF... Di, Sadie and Catherine,
Do you have a preference on colour?
