I took basically no pictures all weekend, and the ones I did take were on my iphone. But, thankfully, a lot of other people DID do the photo thing. Jude has already posted some of hers, and I know Kat, Leanne and Cindy all took some lovely ones too, so keep your eye out for those.
So, Sunday kicked off with Freezer Paper Piecing, with the lovely Kerry.
I was a little ambitious with this one, and went for a tiny 4" house block. There were a few moments where I thought I had bitten off slightly more than I could chew, but it came together in a round about way in the end.
You may notice the Liberty fabric in the background? It was in Kerry's class that I scored a little scrap bundle of Liberty.
The one pictured with the house pin cushion is a 30/70 cotton/silk mix, with such lovely bright colours. I might just pet this for a while before I do anything with it.

After lunch I took Portholes, with the insanely talented Lu. (Lu likes to act a bit street sometimes, and consequently I call her Lu-dogg. Mostly just in my head though.)
Her class was incredible, a really interesting technique that has so many different applications... Again I was waaaay out of my comfort zone with the flower one so it's not that great, but I really really enjoyed it!
I know I've already shown you, but here's a close up of my embroidery from Aneela's class... I'm insanely proud of it, because as you know, I don't hand sew.
The weekend was just brilliant. I enjoyed every single second of it. From the crazy hyped up Saturday morning mass of people, to the late night chit chats with Susan (who would talk non stop if we let her), it was all fabulous.
I will leave you with a picture of my girls, before I get a bit emotional ;-)
Left to right:
Terri, Jo, Sarah, Judith, Jude, Hadley, Susan, Jennie, Ceri, Fiona and Trudi. Missing from pic: Me!
