Lately I've been working on my to-do list, a lot of which is either totally boring, or totally secret. (I know right, I hate it when people say that too, sorry). Either way, not a lot of crafting has been going on round here. There has been a bit... a smidge, a soupçon, if you will.
I tidied, and added to, my stash. (Thats just one of 3 stacks I've had through the mail this month.... I've been a bad girl recently). I started a simple patchwork quilt. I realized I'd never actually made a simple patchwork quilt before, so decided to cut into some lovelies and start one.
I also took receipt of the most fantastic book. Free Motion Quilting by Angela Walters. I've read the first few chapters and I can really see them being incredibly helpful.
The photo's are lovely and the instructions are really clear and well thought out. I've been wanting to progress with my quilting for a while now, and I think this book might give me the confidence that I need to try something a little out of the ordinary. I got mine at the book depository, which was cheaper than, and available before, Amazon. (I was a little surprised at this, because I'm an amazon junkie).
Oh, and the cats have been pretty cute recently too. Lunacat loves the iPad. She's on the leaderboard for the App for Cats. Well, not really. But she's getting there.
